PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the setting of an outline mapping method corresponding to the purpose of output, and to achieve in-color-gamut mapping independent of the outline mapping method in color gamut mapping processing to be used in conversion of image data on an input color gamut in an input device into image data in an output color gamut in an output device. SOLUTION: This image processor for converting image data in an input color gamut in an input device into image data in an output color gamut in an output device is provided with the following functions. That is, an outline mapping method from the input color gamut to the output color gamut is set (S301 to S303); and the outline chrominance point of the input color gamut is mapped to the output color gamut by the set outline mapping method (S304, S305). Furthermore, the input color chrominance point in the input color gamut is mapped to the chrominance point in the output color gamut based on the chrominance point in the output color gamut mapped by the outline mapping method (S306). Then, a color conversion profile is prepared based on the outline mapping result and in-color-gamut mapping result (S309, S310).
