PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rattling or the like of a pedal arm in an accelerator pedal device. SOLUTION: The accelerator pedal device is provided with: the pedal arm 30 having an accelerator pedal 30a; housings 10, 20 for oscillatably supporting the pedal arm between a rest position and the maximum stepping-in position around a predetermined oscillation axis L; and returning springs 53, 40 for giving urging force for returning the pedal arm to the rest position. The returning springs 53, 40 are arranged so as to give the urging force in the same direction at two positions left from the oscillation axis L by different distances D2, D1 respectively. Thereby, even if a clearance is increased at an area (bearing area) of the oscillation axis, the pedal arm can be stably oscillated in the state that it is close to one side (deviated) at the area (bearing area) of the oscillation axis, and when a position sensor is arranged around the oscillation axis, the position sensor can perform detection at high accuracy.
