<p>Disclosed is a lubricant composition which is placed between two surfaces which move at different circumferential velocities from each other and is subjected to shear. The lubricant composition comprises: (a) at least one organic compound which has a mesogenic structure in the molecule, has a viscosity-pressure coefficient of 20 GPa<SUP>-1</SUP> or less at 40°C, and serves to show the maximum friction coefficient when the pressure is increased within the range higher than 10 MPa; and (b) at least one member selected from the group consisting of an organic ester, an organic alcohol, an organic carboxylic acid, an organic ether, an organic amine and an organic amide.</p> |
