<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for obtaining stable images by suppressing toner scattering, reducing stress of collection toner, suppressing deterioration of toner, and maintaining stable development characteristics over a long period of time in the image forming apparatus provided with a touch-down development type developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having the touch-down development type developing device arranges a toner collection belt for collecting scattering toner floating in the vicinity of a toner carrier and a two-component developer carrier in the downstream side of a rotating direction of the two-component developer carrier rather than the most proximate position of the two-component developer carrier and the toner carrier, and faces one end to the toner carrier and arranges the other end in facing the two-component developer carrier between the two-component developer carrier and a housing wall in the vicinity of the toner carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
