COOLING SYSTEM

A cooling system in which the same cooling line is used for a battery (10) and for an inverter device (20) and motor generators (MG1, MG2). A control device (30) performs temperature raise control for the battery (10) when the temperature of the battery is below a predetermined lower limit. The control device (30) controls operation of a selection valve (56) so that cooling water from a cooling medium path (64) is outputted to a bypass path (68). Further, when the temperature of the cooling water is below a predetermined level, the control device (30) controls the inverter device (20) so that electric power losses in switching operation of a switch element included in the inverter device (20) is greater than a level of normal control. The small-sized and low cost cooling system quickly restores a reduction in the capacity of the battery (10) occurring in low temperatures.
