The circuit has a shorting circuit (302) coupled to a power circuit (305), and a control circuit (303) coupled to the shorting circuit. The control circuit selectively activates and deactivates the shorting circuit and correspondingly activates or deactivates the power circuit, where the power circuit is shorted with an interface circuit (301). A programmable memory circuit (304) is coupled to the control circuit and stores a logic state and maintains the stored logic state. The memory circuit drives the control circuit corresponding to stored logic state. An independent claim is also included for a method to disable an electronic identification device. |
