<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus maintaining stable developing characteristic over a long term and yielding a stable image by efficiently collecting undeveloped toner on a developing roller and also suppressing toner scattering, as an image forming apparatus equipped with a touchdown developing type developing device. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus having the touchdown developing type developing device, a developer carrier for collection 17 rotates in a counter direction on a surface facing a toner carrier 2, and a toner collecting roller 14 collecting scattered toner floating near the toner carrier 2 is arranged at a position where the developer carrier for collection 17 faces the toner carrier 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
