<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a user, to efficiently utilize a resource, to improve reliability of a system, and to reduce the device unit price of a printer, or the like, in the network printing system. <P>SOLUTION: This network printing system comprises: a call connection server mediating connection between devices connected on a network; a presence server acquiring a state of the device and notifying a request source device; a print server; and the printer. For example, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol is used for communication between the devices. The print server side has a spooler storing all print data from a client.
