<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording method wherein a color image with smooth gradation can be obtained by alleviating granularity and roughness of dots in the low gradation area of a thermal transfer recording media in a melting transfer recording method which enables a high-durability and high-density image excellent in sharpness. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording method employs: a thermal transfer recording media 1 characterized in having, on at least a supporting body 2 thereof, a thermally melting or softening transfer resin and a thermal transfer inking layer 3 including a color pigment and a thermally diffusible or sublimatable dye; an image receiving sheet having, on at least the supporting body, an image receiving layer including a resin adhesive to the thermal transfer inking layer 3. By the thermal transfer recording method in use of a heating means, the color pigment and the dye on the thermal transfer recording media 1 are transferred onto the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
