ARTIFICIAL FLOATING ISLAND, AND WATER PURIFICATION METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial floating island enabling water including living things floating on a water surface to smoothly to go in and out.

SOLUTION: This artificial floating island 10 is composed of a planting bass 20 whose surface sinks under a water surface, and a float 30 which has an intermittent part 22 provided on the water surface corresponding to the outside edge 21 of the planting base 20. It is possible to smooth going in and out of water including suspended matters between surrounding water areas of the artificial island 10 through the intermittent part 22, and fully demonstrate a water purification action by aqueous plants b planted on the planting base 20. Insufficiency of buoyancy relating to the intermittent part 22 having no float 30 is secured by a planting base supporting float 31 which supports a bottom side from underwater.
