PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic machining method which, in boring a fiber reinforced resin formed of a resin with carbon being internally added as a reinforcing fiber, can avoid machining resistance caused by excessive friction attributable to the presence of the reinforcing fiber in the resin to suppress heat generation, whereby the smoothness of the machined face can be improved and, at the same time, the service life of the drill can be improved, and a fiber reinforced resin produced by the method.
SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic machining method including boring a workpiece W with a twist drill 2 which impacts ultrasonic twisting vibration to a rotating direction, the workpiece W is a fiber reinforced resin (CFRP) including a plurality of resin layers, with carbon being internally added thereto as a reinforcing fiber, stacked on the top of each other.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
