<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus capable of improving the resolution in the vertical and horizontal directions. <P>SOLUTION: Four pixel displacement positions are provided as a standard first pixel position, a second pixel position displaced by about 1/2 of a horizontal pixel pitch in the horizontal direction with respect to the standard first pixel position, a third pixel position displaced by about 3/4 or 1/4 of a horizontal pixel pitch in the horizontal direction and by about 1/2 of a vertical pixel pitch in the vertical direction, and a fourth pixel position displaced by about 1/4 or 3/4 of a horizontal pixel pitch in the horizontal direction and by about 1/2 of a vertical pixel pitch in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
