PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a discharge residual time, which is in accordance with a basic equation of the standard set by Battery Association of Japan, by using a small size memory and simple calculation. SOLUTION: A discharge residual time prediction device 13 of a storage battery includes: a discharge residual time calculation means 26; a discharge end time calculation means 29; a renewal discharge enabling time calculation means 30; a discharge start time renewal means 31; and a start-time discharge current renewal means 32. The discharge residual time calculation means 26 always finds a discharge residual time as two stages of discharge patterns by allowing the renewal discharge enabling time calculation means 30 to be matched with past discharge patterns and converting a discharge start time for starting discharge into changed constant current discharge patters.
