PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a squeak is reduced. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device provided with a liquid crystal display panel and a backlight disposed in the rear of the liquid crystal display panel, the backlight is provided with a base, a plurality of bar-shaped light sources disposed between the liquid crystal display panel and the base, electrode fittings supporting electrode parts of the bar-shaped light sources, connection parts connecting the plurality of electrode fittings and extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bar-shaped light sources, pressing members pressing the connection parts to the base side and a friction noise reducing material disposed between the connection parts and the pressing members and/or between the connection parts and the base.
