Apparatus which axially agitates solid and/or liquid and/or gaseous substances jointly or individually, characterised in that it uses a linear motor or linear servomotor for selecting the amplitude, frequency, acceleration, application time of said movement and the selection of agitation and rest cycles. The agitation caused by this apparatus is useful for mixing and/or homogenising substances and/or processes of extraction of the constituents of the agitated substances.
