The injector (1) has a piezoelectric actuator (2) accommodated in an actuator area (7) that is formed from an injector body (5). The piezoelectric actuator has an actuator head (6) that is connected with a valve component. The actuator area is sealed by a ring seal (15) that is arranged between the actuator head and an injector component (14). The injector component is a casing part with a circumferential wall (16) and a casing base (13), where the casing part is formed as a rotary part, and the ring seal rests on the base. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an injector.
