The insulation has a raw material inserted as an associated common mass in a vacuum chamber, where the common mass is provided with a foaming agent and is heated under vacuum. Pores (1) forming in a rising material (2) contain pressure of the vacuum chamber. The vacuum remains for cooling the insulation. The foaming agent is added to the raw material, and a getter material is used as the rising material. An independent claim is also included for a method for damping a building.
