<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a designer to create a virtual sample of a knit product by retrieving desired thread without obtaining an actual article or the like of a thread sample. <P>SOLUTION: A maker terminal creates a color image of thread and registers the color image in a system server.
