<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device and a lighting fixture with illumination efficiency improved and capable of easily performing fixture designing. <P>SOLUTION: Discharge gas 24 inside a bulb 20 is excited by having high-frequency current from a high-frequency power source 11 flow into an induction coil 41 for light emission. The bulb 20 has a first curved tube body 21 of a J-shape equipped with a first curved part 21a and a first linear part 21b connected to one end of the first curved part 21a, and a second curved tube body 22 of a J-shape equipped with a second curved part 22a and a second linear part 22b connected to an end part of the second curved part 22a put together and jointed to each other, so that cores 40 do not have to be arranged at the center of the linear part. Therefore, there are no more problems that the cores divide light emission, which improves luminous efficiency as compared with the prior art and makes fixture designing easier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
