<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus suppressing the deterioration of toner, maintaining stable developing characteristic over a long term and yielding a stable image by suppressing toner scattering and reducing stress on collected toner, as an image forming apparatus equipped with a touchdown developing type developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A toner collecting roller 14 collecting scattered toner floating near a toner carrier 2 and a two-component developer carrier 1 and rotating in a periphery direction is arranged opposite to the toner carrier and the two-component developer carrier on a more downstream side in the rotating direction of the two-component developer carrier than a position where the two-component developer carrier comes closest to the toner carrier. Then, a magnetic member having a polarity different from that of the magnetic member of the two-component developer carrier is arranged opposite to the magnetic member of the two-component developer carrier inside the toner collecting roller. Magnetic force between the toner collecting roller and the two-component developer carrier is stronger than that between the toner carrier and the two-component developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
