PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion type nailing machine including an intake structure which is inexpensive, has good cooling efficiency, and is usable for a long period of time even in an atmosphere with dust. SOLUTION: A guide part 44b is provided extending over the whole periphery along the peripheral edge of a head protector 44 to exist as a wall shielding an opening part 11a for an intake port 3a. The guide part 44b is provided for all intake ports 3a and the opening part 11a. The guide part 44b inhibits a substantially linear air current directing from the intake port 3a to the opening part 11a to direct the air current toward a motor 18 and a motor holding cylinder 13, and the section of the guide part curves to direct toward the motor 18 as it goes upward. The air sucked from the intake port 3a by rotation of a fan 19, as indicated by an arrow A, almost all of inflow air is guided to the motor 18 and near the motor holding cylinder 13 by the guide part 44b.
