<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct liquid type writing utensil, in which air interchanges with ink quickly at early ink feed and consequently writability is established in a short period of time and, in addition, even under the condition that the pressure in an ink tank changes drastically, ink leakage at a pen point side and ink blowing out can be prevented from developing. <P>SOLUTION: This direct liquid type writing utensil 1 includes a pen point 2, an ink occluding body 3 connected to the rear end of the pen point 2 and an ink tank 7, which is arranged at the rear of the ink occluding body 3 so as to directly store ink 8, and communicating pipes 6 for connecting between the ink tank 7 and the ink occluding body 3. Further, a partition wall 52 is provided between the ink occluding body 3 and the ink tank 7. Furthermore, a plurality of the communicating pipes 6 are protruded ahead from the front surface of the partition wall 52 and the respective front ends of the communicating pipes 6 are located within the ink occluding body 3.
