<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft body which can prevent a gripping part from swelling or becoming sticky and moreover which can prevent a phenomenon that an elastic film gets loose or comes off due to precipitation of oil contained in a low-hardness elastic resin or a finger fat penetrating from a surface layer, on the occasion of using the low-hardness resin for the gripping part particularly, and thus results in an improvement of durability as well. <P>SOLUTION: In regard to the shaft body having the gripping part formed of the elastic resin on the outer periphery of a shaft tube, first a substance having an oil-absorbing and/or water-absorbing properties is added to the elastic resin and the elastic film is formed on a part or the whole of the surface of the elastic resin.
