<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easily handleable piezoelectric actuator and a sheet transfer device that utilizes the same. <P>SOLUTION: A plate-like piezoelectric vibrator is polarized in the thickness direction and provided with drive electrodes on a pair of main surfaces that face each other, while the shape of the main surface is square-shaped. The plate-like piezoelectric vibrator is used in the piezoelectric actuator. One rotor is press-fitted to each of two side faces forming one corner of the piezoelectric vibrator, and each rotor simultaneously rotates in the opposite direction, with respect to each other, while utilizing the surface spread vibration of the piezoelectric vibrator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
