PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device which is capable of speedily making a hand-off determination by suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: When carrying out idle hand-off, a mobile terminal device 1 acquires an N list from a base station and in the case that the energy strength of a frequency used in a current hand class is weak and it is confirmed that there is no other base station of the same band class capable of performing soft hand-off after a search based on the N list is performed, the mobile terminal device 1 further performs the search processing of other band classes in order to carry out hard hand-off. At such a time, base stations of different band classes in the N list are extracted and search processing is performed. Regarding the order of searches, the base stations are sorted on the basis of an E list in the band classes accumulated beforehand and search processing is attempted.
