PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus and an imaging apparatus which can take effective measures for 1/f noise at a high gain time deteriorating an S/N in darkness so as to obtain a high-quality dark image. SOLUTION: In accordance with setting of an analog gain, a control circuit 105 in a solid-state imaging apparatus controls a current value change decoder 130 and a comparator current generating circuit 140 and performs current modulation of each comparator so as to provide a correlation on system between the gain setting and current values of the comparators. Furthermore, the control circuit 105 controls a transistor M17 in accordance with the analog gain setting and performs current modulation of the comparators 102 so as to provide the correlation on system between the gain setting and the current values of the comparators (namely, to increase current amounts of the comparators when the gain setting is high). Thus, the measures for the 1/f noise at the high gain time (when the S/N deteriorates in darkness) are taken. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
