PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honing technique which shortens machining cycle time and can control an accurate infeed of a honing stick irrespective of size of a machining load in the honing of a forced infeed (quantitative) machining system. SOLUTION: In the honing of the forced infeed (quantitative) machining system, a force detecting sensor 31 is provided at the place having no influence of noise generated by the movement of a honing tool 1, a thrust in the axial direction of the honing tool 1 is measured with the force detecting sensor 31, and the infeed amount of the honing stick 10 is controlled according to the thrust to be measured. The machining cycle time can be shortened thereby and the accurate infeed of the honing stick can be controlled irrespective of the size of the machining load. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
