PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method and its device of a liquid plug to an electrolyte injecting mouth of a storage battery in which a work efficiency in an electrolyte injecting work of the storage battery is greatly improved. SOLUTION: The fixing method of a liquid plug of a storage battery includes a step in which a liquid plug mounted with a liquid plug holding jig is screwed and fixed in an electrolyte injection mouth and then a step in which, while an upper surface of the liquid plug is pushed down, the liquid plug holding jig is rotated and removed toward an upper and diagonal direction from the electrolyte injection mouth. The liquid plug fixing device is provided with a liquid plug holding jig, a rotating unit for rotating the liquid plug holding jig, a shifting unit with two shifting shafts for shifting the liquid plug holding jig, a liquid plug pushing-down unit and a controlling unit for controlling movements of the rotating unit, the shifting unit and the pushing-down unit. The liquid plug holding jig is composed of a liquid plug mounting portion and a liquid plug pushing-down portion and the shifting unit is composed of one of the shifting shafts in a perpendicular direction and the other in a horizontal direction.
