PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a retainer in a temporary locking position from carelessly moving to the side of an actual locking position by receiving an external force. SOLUTION: When a retainer 60 is shallowly inserted into an insertion hole 15 of a housing 10, it is movable to a temporary locking position that allows insertion/extraction of a terminal metal-fitting 90 into/from a cavity 11. When the retainer is deeply inserted into the insertion hole 15 from the temporary locking position, it is movable to an actual locking position that prevents coming-off of the terminal metal-fitting 90 properly inserted into the cavity 11. The retainer 60 has a pair of side-face parts. The inner face of each side-face part is provided with temporary locking parts 71, 76, and 77 that restrict movement of the retainer toward the actual locking position by engagement with receiving parts 23, 26, and 28 on the housing 10 side at the temporary locking position. Three temporary locking parts 71, 76, and 77 are provided at intervals for each side-face part.
