PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which is suitable for use in putting up a corrugated cardboard box and treating a joint in house construction work, is thin, has high strength, and furthermore is comparatively easy to remove the tape having been applied. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a mesh sheet formed by making a number of fine fissures in a highly stretched polyethylene film, to form a film of split fibers, laying one film of the split fibers lengthwise on top of another film of the split fibers crosswise and integrally fusion bonding the films, to form a base material (2), and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (3) formed on the back surface of the base material.
