<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of appropriately setting the display mode of a stereoscopic image. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device for displaying the stereoscopic image comprises: an image forming part to form a plurality of parallax images; a pattern forming part to form a pattern including a plurality of aperture parts in order to guide the plurality of parallax images formed by the image forming part to a plurality of corresponding viewing points; and a processing performing part to acquire position information showing observers's position and to perform processing for allowing the image forming part to form the parallax images by a number in accordance with the position information, and also allowing the pattern forming part to form a pattern including the aperture parts by a number in accordance with the position information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
