<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system, transmitter and receiver, and communication method in which the effect of transmission power control error caused by an idle time can be reduced without distributing the idle time within a frame during compressed mode transmission. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system which includes a transmitter 1A and a receiver 2A being operable in an ordinary mode or in a compressed mode during which a prescribed idle time can be set, and in which the transmitter 1A performs transmission power control on a frame in each mode, when operating in the compressed mode, the transmitter 1A determines the position of the idle time so as to minimize the effect of transmission power control error after the idle time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
