PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed tray having a handle which is easy to use for both a person in a wheel chair and an able-bodied person. SOLUTION: The sheet feed tray 20 is insertably/detachably disposed in an image forming apparatus 10 and configured to store a bundle of transfer sheets P and feed the sheets for a transfer process as occasion demands. The sheet feed tray is provided with a lock mechanism section 40 that locks the sheet feed tray 20 to an apparatus body 11 in a loading state, and a handle 50 protrudingly disposed forward from a front surface of the sheet feed tray 20, and operated in order to release a locking state of the feet feed tray 20 to the apparatus body 11. The lock mechanism section 40 is configured to release the locking state even if the handle 50 is operated either upward or downward from the neutral position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
