PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing device capable of increasing the rigidity of a connection plate, easily fitting the connection plate by a single hand, easily positioning a shock absorber to an adequate position, and maintaining the positioned state, and a TV apparatus having the same. SOLUTION: A connection plate 6 for connecting an end shock absorber 3 and a center shock absorber 5 to be stored in a corrugated fiberboard box 1 has two rectangular folded plate parts 61 which are resiliently restored, folded in a substantially V shape. First locked parts 62, 62a recessed in the width direction are provided on both ends of each folded plate part 61. Fit-in holes 31, 51 with both ends of each folded plate part 61 being fitted therein from the width direction, and locking projecting parts 32, 52 which lock the first locked parts 62, 62a in the fit-in holes 31, 51 by the resilient restoration of each folded plate part 61 to prevent the movement of the folded plate part 61 in the width direction are provided on the end shock absorber 3 and the center shock absorber 5.
