PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat including a laterally extendable bottom block on the bottom surface of a child seat body. SOLUTION: In order to install the child seat 1 on a vehicle seat so that a child on the vehicle seat faces the rear side of a vehicle, the bottom block 20 is positioned on the front part side of a seat 11. This causes the bottom block 20 to project from the lower surface of the seat 11. Accordingly, the child seat 1 is positioned with a backrest 12 largely reclined, i.e., in a bed state, whereby a baby can be held in the child seat 1 in a substantially supine position. When the bottom block 20 is moved forwardly, extendable members 40 (40L, 40R) are separated from a recess 13.
