<p>Provided is a gear type oil pump for a reciprocating compressor inserted into a mounting space provided at one side of a drive shaft to compress and inject oil, which includes: a gear assembly including an inner gear fixed to one end of the drive shaft, an outer gear accommodating the inner gear therein and installed eccentrically with respect to the inner gear, and an eccentric ring rotatably supporting the outer gear; a washer disposed inside the mounting space and adhered to the gear assembly by a ring mounted on the drive shaft; an accommodating member fixed to the drive shaft to accommodate the washer; and a compression means disposed between the accommodating member and the washer and fixedly inserted into the accommodating member in a circumferential direction thereof, and having a plurality of projections projecting toward the washer in a circumferential direction thereof.</p>
