A slide type writing instrument having a dryness preventing device is provided to facilitate assembly work and to reduce the cost of producing parts by integrally forming an opening and closing module. In a slide type writing instrument having a dryness preventing device, a hollow shaft(10) has a nib hole(11). A knock unit(30) is inserted into an insertion hole(14) formed on the other side of the shaft. A cartridge(40) is inserted into the shaft to correspond to the axial center of the nib hole and integrally combined with the knock unit. An opening and closing module(100) is made of rubber type elastic material and composed of an O-ring unit(110) coming into contact with the nib hole through the surface; a ball-shaped door(120) having a spherical surface blocking a nib(41) from the outside; a pipe-shaped holder(130) fixed with the cartridge; a first hinge unit connecting the O-ring unit and the ball-shaped door; and a second hinge unit integrally connecting the ball-shaped door and the holder. A spring is disposed in the shaft to apply elastic repulsive force between the opening and closing module and the cartridge. The ball-shaped door interlocking with the knock unit and the cartridge in pressing the knock unit is turned at the rotational angle to open the nib hole of the shaft and the nib is projected out of the nib hole through a perforated passage of the ball-shaped door.
