A subcarrier in a sub-frame can be shared between two stations that would otherwise compete and interfere for uplink allocation, by reducing the requirement for a station to be allocated reference blocks in both of the two slots of the sub-frame. This can be coupled with the use of specific ZC sequences, known as Chu sequences, which are selected for lack of or reduced cross correlation. Overlapping Chu sequences of different lengths can be considered for use as long as the overlapping portions are found. |
