A method for preparing a flame retardant plastic additive composition is provided to improve heat resistance and to enhance the uniformity of dispersion with plastics. A method for preparing a flame retardant plastic additive composition comprises the steps of mixing 100 parts by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) latex and 10-200 parts by weight of an alkyl methacrylate monomer; adding a polymerization initiator to the mixture to microcapsulate the outside of the PTFE; agglomerating the obtained microcapsule to form a flock; heating the flock at a temperature above a glass transition temperature; and cooling the heated flock to agglomerate it and pulverizing it.
