A refrigerator is provided to circulate heat of a defrosting heater forcedly by rotating a fan when cold air flowing to a freezer compartment is cut off by a cutoff unit. A refrigerator comprises a body(100), an evaporator(140), a defrosting heater(120), a defrosting damper(740), a fan(320), and a cutoff unit. The body has a cold air path and a freezer compartment(200). The evaporator, the defrosting heater, and the defrosting damper are installed on the cold air path. The fan is installed on the cold air path to supply cold air into the freezer compartment. The cutoff unit selectively cuts off cold air flowing into the freezer compartment while defrosting. |
