<p>The mark, designed to contrast with a background surface (11) of the same material, notably of moulded plastic or rubber, is made in the form of a pattern (2) of fine raised points (21) having a mean section of between 0.003 and 0.06 sq mm and a density of at least five points per square millimetre. The points are at least 0.1 mm long, and the taper from their bases (23) to their tips (22), the latter having a non-flat configuration. The points, which can be made with a varying length and density to produce a contrast, are formed by a part of the basic article's mould in a pattern made e.g. by laser beam.</p> |
