An educational globe comprises a first hollow outer sphere of transparent material to represent the Earth's atmosphere (7), and a second inner sphere, to represent the surface of the earth. The surface is depicted by photographic images of the sea and land (2). The spheres may be formed from hemispheres and the hemispheres may house small locating magnets which allow relative orientation. Within the inner hemispheres (3), two cylindrical magnets (5) are also positioned to demonstrate the Earth's polarity, and a small sphere (4) may be positioned to represents the Earth's core. The outer and inner spheres are mounted on a base stand (1) and are supported on a stand arm that allows the spheres to have relative rotation. The photographic images are preferably removable from and replaceable on the inner sphere. |
