Switch driver circuit with a high side level shifter for transmitting an input signal and corresponding method

The trigger circuit (10) has a top-level shifter (80) for transmission of an input signal from a trigger logic (20) to a top-driver unit (40). The top-level shifter is formed as an arrangement of a pulse generation circuit (82), an up-level shifter branch (84), a down-level shifter branch (86) and a downstream signal evaluating circuit (88). The up-level shifter branch is formed complementary to the down-level shifter branch within the top-level shifter. Outputs of the up-level shifter branch and the down-level shifter branch are connected with inputs of the signal evaluating circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmission of an input signal from a trigger logic to a top-driver unit within a trigger circuit.
