An image forming apparatus is provided to utilize components by independently replacing a photosensitive member which has a life span relatively longer than other components, prevent a slip phenomenon by stably supporting the photosensitive member and a transfer roller, and improve picture quality of a recording member. A transfer unit(200) is mounted and combined on a main body frame(100) and includes a photosensitive member and a transfer backup unit, to which the photosensitive member is combined and supported, for transferring a visible image formed on the photosensitive member to a recording member. A developing cartridge(300) is detachably attached to the main body frame and supplies a developer to the photosensitive member. A fastening binder fastens and supports the transfer unit and the developing cartridge when the transfer unit is mounted on the main body frame. A transfer unit frame(210) is detachably attached to the main body frame. A transfer roller is rotatably combined to the transfer unit frame such that it corresponds to the photosensitive member. A transfer backup belt(233) is slidably rotated between the photosensitive member and the transfer roller and transfers the recording member. A support roller(235) is combined to the transfer unit frame and supports the transfer backup belt such that it is slidably rotated.
