<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment unit which can be filled with approximately ball-shaped pieces of a microorganism-adherent material simply and regularly to facilitate the cleaning of the material and treat wastewater efficiently. SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment unit is provided with the approximately ball-shaped pieces of the microorganism-adherent material having through- holes at least in one direction, shafts each of which penetrates the through-holes of a prescribed number of the pieces to support them rotatably, and a frame body which supports the shafts and makes the pieces be arranged in a block shape in wastewater. The wastewater is treated by microorganisms adherent to the material.</p> |
