A system and a method for lending books by using subway stations are provided to enable travelers to lend/return the books easily by binding railroad stations including subway and book rental shops of express bus terminals in one network, and applying a simple lending/returning mode. A plurality of terminals(21) and card terminals(22) are installed in book rental shops(B,B') included in a member shop groups(20') forming a network. A book lending management server(11) of a book lending management company(10) exchanges book/payment information with the terminals and card terminals. A card payment agency server(31) of a card payment agency company(30) provides a card payment support service based on information received from the book lending management server. The member shop group includes the book rental shops opened in or out of subway or railroad stations, or express bus terminals. An Internet information device(41) of travelers is connected to the book lending management server. |
