[Class 60.] A device for cleaning accumulator or other terminals consists of a number of discs 1 of abrasive material, for example, sandpaper or emery cloth, having a central hole and held together by a sheet 5 of paper &c. secured around the edges of the discs by an adhesive, the edges 6 of the sheet preferably being spaced apart to assist in the removal of used discs. A cvlindrical block of wood &c. 8 also may be secured bv the sheet 5 at the upper end of the stack of discs, and through a central hole 9 in the block and the holes in the disc, a wooden or other rod 11 may be placed. In operation, for terminals with a screw 2, this screw enters the hole in the discs and the device is rotated, worn discs being torn off from the stack. For terminals with a central screwed hole, the rod 11 is advanced to engage the hole. The cylindrical block may be replaced by a block or washer of asbestos &c. |
