<p>Embodiments of the invention provide a method and apparatus in which a messaging message can be sent to a receiving terminal via a messaging server according to a protocol, the messaging server being configured to store at least one parameter defining a treatment of messages such as storing or non-storing of messages to be sent to the receiving terminal, the receiving terminal being configured to send parameter setting information to the messaging server for setting or updating the at least one parameter in the messaging server. The parameter setting information may define the setting of a store and forward field in the messaging server. The parameter setting information may also indicate one or more types of acceptable messages. The messaging server may store or update the at least one parameter according to the received parameter setting information.</p> |
