An exhaust gas purification system is provided to prevent a catalytic converter from being contaminated or blocked due to droplets liquid phase reaction medium by using a metering element for providing liquid phase reaction material to a vaporizer as a film or trickle. An exhaust gas purification system comprises an exhaust gas source(2) and a closed type passage. Exhaust gas containing NOx is transferred from the exhaust gas source to a catalytic converter(13) through the closed type passage. A metering member(7) is positioned before the catalytic converter to provide liquid phase reaction medium to the flow of the exhaust gas. A vaporizer having surfaces disposed in the flow of the exhaust gas is positioned at the back of the metering member. The liquid phase reaction medium is applied to the surfaces of the vaporizer and is vaporized before the vaporized reaction medium reaches the catalytic converter.
