PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material particularly having excellent whiteness of a skin and excellent life preservability for a whiteness and capable of stably forming a clear image at a high contrast without impairing a coloring density of the image part. SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording material comprises a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a diazonium salt compound and a coupler on a support. The diazonium salt compound is included in a microcapsule together with an aromatic carboxylate represented by formula (I) and an acylphosphine oxide compound, [wherein R1 is a halogen atom, alkyl group, alkenyl group, aralkyl group, alkoxy group, alkylcarbonyl group, alkylcarbonyloxy group, alkyloxycarbonyl group, cycloalkyl group, or aryl group, R2 to R6 are each H, a group represented by the R1 (except alkyloxycarbonyl), L is a COO, or an OCO, and n is 0 to 4]. |
